How can these devices be monitored?

The device can be monitored through an application called “alertire”, installed in your mobile.

How can I download the application?

You can download alertire app from App store in iTunes for iOS and from Google Play Store for Android.

How do the device and the application communicate?

The device has a sensor that communicates with the application via a low energy Bluetooth. As such, it is important that you keep your Bluetooth switched on.

What is the difference between Bluetooth and Bluetooth low energy?

Bluetooth and Bluetooth low energy are two different technologies. Bluetooth low energy is much more efficient in battery utilisation.

What is the use of Bluetooth Low Energy?

Products created with Bluetooth low energy last for several years with just coin cell battery.

Will the device work if the Bluetooth is switched off?

No, the device cannot communicate with the sensor if Bluetooth is switched off.

How is the device tracked by the application installed on the phone?

When you enable the location on your phone, the application will pick up your location and thus allow the sensor to locate your phone. The sensor will then communicate with your application via Bluetooth.

Does it work on GPS?

alertire does not use GPS. It connects using Bluetooth and your location. GPS normally drains out phone battery and is hence not effective.

How is the device charged?

The device is charged through a coin battery.

What is the battery Life?

Battery is expected to last for 5 years depending on the usage.

Is there a warranty for the device?

Yes, the device comes with 1 year warranty.

What is the procedure if the device stops working?

If the product is faulty, it will need to be shipped back to the company. Post investigation, the product will either be repaired or replaced. The product will then be shipped back to you.

What operating system does the app support?

The Application supports Android and iOS.

What version of IOS does the app support?

The Application supports iOS 8+.

What version of Android does the app support?

The Application supports Android version 5 and above.

Do cars have a pressure safety valve?

Yes, every car has a pressure safety valve.

Can the product be sold to anyone else?

Yes, you can sell the product. You need to call customer care and ask them to transfer the vehicle from your account to the account to whom you are going to sell.

What happens to the application if you lose your phone or purchase a new phone?

The sensors are tracked through cloud server, thus allowing you to connect by just installing the application on the new phone and logging with your user id and password.

Will the sensor recognise the application if uninstalled & reinstalled in same or other device?

Yes, the sensor will recognise the device the moment you login with your id and password.

From what distance can the device communicate with the application?

The device can communicate with the application within 10 to 15 meter radius.

How can I know which sensor is in which tire?

To quickly identity the sensor you can deflate the tire and then identify the sensor from the app.

How do we know which device goes into with tire?

Before the sensor is fit into the tire, it has to be configured into the application. In the application you will need to assign or name the tire and then pair the sensor accordingly.

What if the device is fixed to the tire, but does not match with the application?

You will need to physically check the device along with the application and make the changes.

How do I identify which tire the sensor needs to be installed?

First you will need to configure the sensors in the application and then the application will indicate the right sensor to be fixed based on the description provided.

Can the sensor measure Nitrogen?

Yes, the sensor can measure Nitrogen.

What types of sensors are used in the device?

alertire holds both Temperature and Pressure Sensors.

What is the maximum pressure that can be measured in a tire?

The maximum that can be measured is up to 100 PSI

What is the temperature limit SensAiry supports?

The device supports from -40 degree up to 105 degrees.

When should I replace the battery and how?

The battery is part of the product and cannot be replaced. After the life of the battery, the product needs to be replaced.

What is the accuracy of alerTire for pressure and temperature?

Accuracy for pressure is +/- 1 PSI and for temperature +/- 5C.

What are the mandates for the device to communicate with the application?

Bluetooth and location should be switched on for an Android phone and for IOS only Bluetooth will suffice.

Why the location service should be on in the mobile device?

It is forced by the OS itself to enable location in order to scan for BLE beacons, which is very much required to detect the pressure updates irrespective of app running status.

Do Cars have a pressure safety valve?

alerTire Product Warranty

alerTire (RIVOT Advance Research Center) is committed to delivering high quality products. This warranty outlines coverage, exclusions, and the process for addressing defective or faulty products purchased from alerTire or its authorized partners.

1. Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies only to original, unaltered, and unmodified products bearing the alerTire trademark, logo, or trade name. Coverage includes:

  • Manufacturing defects and hardware faults.

  • Poor workmanship in the product for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Note: Modifications or alterations to any product component void this warranty.

2. Exclusions What is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear or improper installation/use contrary to the user manual.

  • Use of third party components not meeting product specifications.

  • Product malfunction due to software issues or operational interruptions.

  • Products purchased from unauthorized sources.

  • Misuse or use not prescribed by alerTire.

  • Accidents, fire, floods, earthquakes, or other force majeure events.

3. How to Claim Warranty

  1. Register Your Product: Use your account on the alerTire website to register your product and submit a warranty request.

  2. Contact Support: Reach our customer care team at support@alertire.com for detailed instructions.

  3. Proof of Purchase: Required documents include a dated sales receipt, order confirmation email, or order number.

4. Resolution Options

Our warranty service is prioritized as follows:

  1. Repair or Servicing: Fixing defects using original or certified replacement parts.

  2. Replacement: If repair is not feasible, the product may be replaced with a new or refurbished unit.

  3. Refund: If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund may be issued in accordance with our Return Policy.

Note: Warranty benefits are available only to the original purchaser and are non transferable.

5. Liability Limitations

alerTire’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not responsible for damages caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, accidents, or improper use.

6. Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of India. All disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Belagavi, Karnataka.

alerTire Return Policy

This Return Policy lays down the rules and process governing returns of products purchased directly from alerTire RIVOT Advance Research Center, or through its authorized agents and resellers.

At alerTire, we take pride in our advanced research driven manufacturing standards and rigorous quality checks. While every product is handled with utmost care, rare situations may occur such as damage in transit, packaging defects, or delivery of an incorrect product. In such cases, alerTire ensures corrective action in the form of repair, replacement, or refund as outlined below.

 

  1. Conditions for Return Eligibility

A request for return will be considered valid if the following conditions are met:

  • The product was purchased through alerTire or its authorized sales partner.
  • The return request is submitted within 7 (seven) calendar days from delivery.
  • The original invoice must accompany the returned product.
  • The product and all its original components (sensors, valves, screws, washers, user guide) must be returned unused, unmodified, and in the original packaging.
  1. Resolution Process

Depending on the product condition and the team’s assessment, returns will be addressed in the following order:

  1. Repair or Servicing
  • If feasible, the product will be repaired or serviced using either new or certified refurbished parts.
  • The process may take 2–4 weeks from the date of receipt at our facility. Updates regarding service status and expected completion will be shared with the customer via registered email.
  • No charges will apply for repairs required due to manufacturing defects, and repaired products will be reshipped free of cost.
  1. Replacement
  • If the defect is deemed irreparable, alerTire will arrange for a replacement with either a new or refurbished unit.
  1. Refund / Credit Note
    • If repair or replacement is not possible, alerTire may provide either:
      • A credit note equivalent to the purchase amount (usable within the specified period), or
      • A direct refund at the sole discretion of the company.
    • Refunds will typically be initiated within 10 –15 business days after the eligibility report is submitted by our assessment team.

Please note: Steps above (repair → replacement → refund/credit) are followed in sequence, and refunds are provided only if earlier remedies are not feasible.

alerTire Terms & Conditions

  1. Parties to the Agreement
    These Terms of Sale govern transactions between you, the purchaser (“Customer”), and RIVOT Motors India Pvt. Ltd. (“we,” “us,” “our”), the operator and seller of the alerTire brand of products, which are developed by our division, the RIVOT Advance Research Center (RARC).

  3. Product Pricing and Payment

alerTire General Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction & Scope

These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) govern all products and services offered under alerTire, developed by the RIVOT Advance Research Center (RARC), which is established and managed by RIVOT Motors India Pvt. Ltd., Belagavi. By purchasing or using our products, customers agree to abide by the policies stated herein. These T&C are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and consistency in all customer interactions.

  1. Orders, Pricing & Payments
  • All orders are processed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Prices listed are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and delivery charges unless specifically stated otherwise.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, alerTire and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the services.
Our total aggregate liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid to alerTire for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim in the six (6) months prior to the event.

  1. Indemnification

You agree to protect and compensate alerTire, its parent company (RIVOT Motors India Pvt. Ltd.), and its team (including directors, officers, and employees) against any claims, damages, or costs  including legal expenses  that may arise if you misuse our products or services, act negligently, or violate these T&C.

  1. Force Majeure

alerTire shall not be held responsible for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, transportation breakdowns, or government actions.

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  • These T&C shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Belagavi, Karnataka.
